きりすて【切り捨て】

1 〔切り殺すこと〕 cutting sb down with a sword and passing on without a second thought; 〔捨てて顧みないこと〕 abandoning [forsaking] and not giving a second thought to…; sacrificing; throwing to the wolves; disregarding.

●今度の法律の改正は弱者の切り捨てだ. This amendment to the law sacrifices the underprivileged.
